How do I get Started?
If you find your self asking this question too please visit this post to help you know what to do first.
On the Sales Price Column of the Lists there are two prices, ie. 2.00/1.00, What does that mean?
This question comes up a lot. What you are seeing is first the stores advertised price. In the question above the product was advertised at the store for $2.00. When you see a second price then usually it is a special sale where if you purchase, lets say $30 of the specified items (usually it is mix an match with many various items) you get a certain amount back lets say $15. What is happening is The List is calculating the store special pricing and money back as a 50% discount and showing you with the second number what that would be, $1.00 in this example. When you see this on a List be sure you are very careful to get the specified items and use the first number when adding up to get your $30 or else you will end up paying the higher price. Also FYI the $15 is usually toward your next purchase. In situations like these I typically am buying a lot of specified items, purchasing them in groups of $30 then using the discount toward then next group of items.
What is the Code for my area?
Unfortunately the only lists/codes available are for Utah and Las Vegas right now. Please visit my posts on The System to learn how you can create the lists for yourself in YOUR area. BTW if you live in Idaho the Utah Albertson’s list is very close and can be used by you, lucky duck!
What are Group A and Group B Coupons?
Group A and Group B coupons are links to the two most popular coupon printing services available on the internet. These sites are reputable and can be used by ANYONE. With all online coupons I must add here use them at your own risk. Some stores may not take them, they are sometimes a pain to print (try using a different browser if you encounter a problem and test printing on coupons you don’t care about), requiring add-ons and downloads, registering, set amounts on how many can printed nationally and such. These sites allow at two coupons printed per household. Please DO NOT copy online coupons as that is considered fraud and by doing so you may or may not get caught BUT you will ruin it for the rest of us!

I am the new emergency prep. person for our ward and although I love it I am need help . Every time I try to figure out coupon Mom or grocery smarts I go crazy . It seems like there is alot to it . Under the Sale Price column on the Grocerysmarts list, what does it mean when there are 2 prices? For example 2.00/1.00. The final price on the list is always the lower sale price plus the coupon discount, but when I go to the store I always pay the higher sales price. Thanks.
Hello, I love your website! I have learned so much about saving money on groceries but it is rather complicated! I have a question about getting extra copies of the Sunday newspaper. In my area (Colorado), a Sunday-only subscription costs $1.75 per week. You recommend to get one copy for each family member, so for a family of 5, that would cost $35/month. Is there an alternative way of getting the coupon inserts each week?
