Hi! I just found this site and it looks great. I am trying to read up and learn how you make this all work. As I read on, it seems like it’s recommended to purchase a paper per person in the family for coupons. I have 6 in our family and that would be 6 papers, and they want $8 a month as a special offer. That would mean I’d spend $48 a month for the papers. Do you really think I would save much more than that on items I purchase. I am on a tight budget, so I would really like input on that before I give it a try.
Melanie,
I am unsure where you live but if you live in Utah, Las Vegas, or even the Phoenix area I do know of some better deals than the ones you mentioned for papers. If you don’t live in one of those areas then I recommend that you give the System a try with one paper until you get the hang of it. Anyone can try it out then decide if it is financially a good investment for newspapers. FYI to get the savings and amount of groceries featured in my Show Off section multiple coupons is a must!
Happy Shopping,
Shauntell
Shauntell,
I am wondering if actually buying 6 sunday newspapers for the coupons will actually be that much of a savings in the long run. For a whole year of our Sunday paper (1 subscription) it is $110.00. That would be $600+ a year for coupons. I love the online coupons, but I am wondering if the Sunday paper is worth it.
