LOVE-ly Last Minute Deals

So for many of my female readers you may just want to forward a link to this post to your significant other as typically THEY are the ones scrambling last minute for ways to get out of trouble on Valentines Day. Hey, I am not being rude it has been proven! Oh that reminds me of some nice little info I learned from my bottle of shampoo (I paid .50 for it btw SWEET!), 15% of Women send themselves flowers on V-Day. For you 15% here is a great place to order those flowers AND for you awesome men out there please visit the link too so your sweet heart doesn’t put you in the dog house -K!
FLOWERS: This site has contracts with local stores that have been prescreened so you can get same day delivery, sometimes.
As I mentioned I LOVE to Save MONEY. When things are tight I feel totally bad splurging on big dinners and gifts for Valentines Day. It is not that I don’t think my HONEY is worth it it is just I want us to be happy and he has told me that he is happy when I am happy. I am not happy when we spend money that we don’t have-so to keep us both happy I have come up with some ideas for cheap dates that still say I love you and want to spend time with you. But they also give the pocket book (and my mind) a break. Here are just a few I thought of or have done. Please feel free to share in the comments if you have some wonderful ideas too!
Go to the Alphabetical Coupon Index , scroll down to the R’s you will find all a list of all the restaurant coupons found in the coupon booklets and some online ones too. Pick one of these places to dine or get a treat for the special day.
With Valentine’s on Saturday this year, go to breakfast or lunch instead of dinner. (use the coupons mentioned above of course)
Make a candle lit dinner and stay in. Don’t forget to use your best plates, and linens, NO PAPER PLATES. (check out Every Day Food Storage for some meal ideas using your food storage)
Rent a flick to watch together. WOW him or her by choosing a movie they wanted to see even if you didn’t. A good action flick will not kill you ladies and neither will a tear jerking chic flick, men. (I LOVE P.S. I Love You) If you havent already done so register on RedBoxto recieve emails AND a free rental.
Make it a family celebration. This is my plan this year. Go to Family Fun to get some fun activity, treat, and meal ideas. We should spend time with those whom we LOVE the most right?
Make a custom cd with the tunes you fell in love to or the ones you wish you fell in love to. Find your fav’s here.
Make a fabulous restaurant inspired desert to eat after the kids are in bed. I teach you how to make the most delicious molten lava cakes in the FIRST episode of “Fun With Food Storage TV” which will be airing Wednesday at 7:00pm MST. It’s a video internet show I made with Crystal from Every Day Food Storage, and Jodi and Julie from Food Storage Made Easy . We will also be answering your most wanted questions about us. Feel free to head on over to The Fun With Food Storage Network tomorrow night and catch the show.

In the past I have made love coupons for my hubby. A few examples are: sleep late on Saturday, breakfast in bed, wash and clean your car, a batch of your favorite cookies. These are always fun to make and receive, and they cost next to nothing!
If we miss your show, will you please print your lava cake recipe so we can print it off? Thanks!
Here is a link to the Lava Cake recipe I will be sharing with you all tonight on the Fun With Food Storage Network TV. You will want to watch our video to see the food storage changes we made.

Great ideas! We’re doing breakfast…candlelight too. We have to be out of the house fairly early for soccer/softball, so we’re going to get up at 6 am before all the kids get up and have ourselves a romantic breakfast…well, at least that’s the plan….. LOL!
