Shopping Day

Shopping Day:
We are now to the third step of The System, which is Shopping Day. I recently talked to a friend who just started shopping with coupons and she said that instead of going to the mall to spend money she is excited to go shopping at the grocery store and see how much money she can save! This is exactly how I feel. I Love Shopping Day. I always leave feeling like I won a lottery! In a state where gambling is against the law it almost feels wrong to watch the register at the store ring up my savings just like a slot machine.
Here are some of my tips for Shoppoing Day to make it as easy and fun as possible.
- I always like to go shopping on a full stomach and if possible alone!
- Use your list as your guide. Remember to mark how many you want on your list so in the heat of the moment you don’t forget and get flustered, this can happen especially with Budget Buster sales.
- When you get to the check out you can wait to give all your coupons to the checker, you DO NOT have to give the coupon with each product as it rolls off the conveyor. The only exception to this rule is for Rain Checks. Give the Rain Check to the checker first thing so she can change the price of the product you are getting.
- If the person behind you is giving you dirty looks be sure to smile and then when you are done exclaim LOUDLY how much you saved using coupons and how awesome you are!
- Go home and post your receipt on the fridge for your entire family to see and worship you for your intelligence and awesomeness!

If the person behind you at the store gives a dirty look because your coupons take too long - THEY can move to another checker…..As long as you aren’t in the express check out with 50 items you can take as much time as you like.

can you tell me how to get the albertsons milk for 2.19 a gal. ?? both times i went i paid full price, is there a trick to it??
I saved 61% last night at the grocery store. I am so excited. I had over $45 in coupons. I have two more stores to go to this weekend. Thank goodness for Super Bowl sales. Thank you for this method of coupons. I love it. It beats cutting out all the coupons and not using half of them.

I am not sure if there was a trick to getting the milk for that price. If their was the list will let you know. One thing to check is the brand and size. Also keep in mind the STORE is always the authority. Did you take the milk to the Customer Service desk and aks them? Another thing you can do is get an ad at the store and check for it in there. I am sorry you didn’t get what you expected.
